Veritas laboratory re-accredited

Accreditation according to ISO / IEC 17025 is a mandatory prerequisite for day-to-day analytical work for a service laboratory such as Labor Veritas and therefore usually not worth mentioning. This time, however, the re-accreditation required the fulfillment of new requirements because the standard was further developed from version 2005 to version 2017. The high level structure that has been used in the ISO world since 2015 has not yet been adopted, but the spirit of ISO 9001: 2015 can still be clearly felt; We were therefore well prepared for re-accreditation with the ISO 9001: 2015 certification. Nevertheless, there were some issues that we had to rethink or revise last year, such as: dealing with impartiality and confidentiality, introducing a decision rule, deepening the system for steering data and information. We are pleased that we were able to convince the SAS auditors with the further development of our management system and were now able to accept the new accreditation certificate (accreditation number STS 0524). Note: The accreditation certificate shows that the first accreditation took place on November 1st, 2009. To this end, it must be specified that this date applies to the initial accreditation by the SAS. Previously, our laboratory operations had been continuously and continuously accredited by DAP German Accreditation System Prüfwesen GmbH for 15 years (from 1994) (accreditation number DAP-PL-2679.00).
